February 06, 2026 | Washington, D.C.
NAIOP honored five chapters and nine individuals during the association’s Chapter Leadership & Legislative Retreat, held this week in Washington, D.C.
Membership and legislative awards recognize the exemplary efforts of chapters in these categories. Other awards presented are part of the association's annual Chapter Merit Awards (CMAs) that honor individual winners in three categories, as well as an overarching “Chapter of the Year” designation. CMA recipients are selected by a committee of their peers comprised of volunteer judges.
Congratulations to this year’s award winners!

Now, their governor has made sustainable energy generation, transmission and storage a priority for 2026.
Additionally, this chapter bolstered their advocacy efforts going forward by establishing a PAC last year, helping them participate in every aspect of the legislative process from the ballot box to the eventual enactment of a law.
