NAIOP Adopts DEI Strategic Pillars; Establishes Committee Focused on DEI

October 25, 2023 | Washington, D.C.

2023 NAIOP Chair Kim Snyder and the NAIOP Board of Directors are proud to announce the adoption of its Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) policy statement by NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association.

During the board meeting on October 17, held as part of NAIOP’s CRE.Converge conference in Seattle, the board unanimously approved the formation of a standing DEI Committee to further the association’s DEI goals and objectives as outlined in the association’s recently adopted 3-year strategic plan.

“While NAIOP has made tactical efforts to expand its commitment to DEI, adopting a policy statement and creating a permanent committee to be staffed by our industry’s best and finest volunteers will assure continuity of this commitment to continuous improvement,” said Snyder.

The NAIOP DEI policy statement formalizes a year’s worth of planning and introspection by a task force appointed to examine the issue and make a recommendation to the board on behalf of NAIOP’s 22,000 members across the U.S. and Canada.

NAIOP DEI Vision Statement
