NAIOP President and CEO Marc Selvitelli Selected by Board of Directors

Announcement follows the retirement of Thomas J. Bisacquino after 33 years

NAIOP Chair Jeff Milanaik is pleased to announce that Marc Selvitelli, CAE, has been named NAIOP President and CEO, effective July 1.

The announcement follows the June 30 retirement of Thomas J. Bisacquino, concluding 33 years of service to NAIOP and the commercial real estate industry. Under Bisacquino’s leadership, the association reached new heights in membership growth, achieved significant legislative successes, and provided unmatched services to its members, now surpassing 20,000 across North America.

Selvitelli has served as NAIOP Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer since 2017, and previously as NAIOP Vice President for Membership and Chapter Relations.

“The Board of Directors selected Marc with the confidence that he will continue to advance NAIOP’s position as the leading trade association for commercial real estate development,” said Milanaik, partner, northeast region, with Bridge Industrial. “His commitment to our members, collaboration with our chapters, and understanding of the industry will serve him well in this new role.”

Selvitelli is only the fourth person to serve in this role since the association’s founding in 1967. He has more than 25 years of association experience, having previously served as executive director of both the Restoration Industry Association and National Association of Local Housing Finance Agencies. At the National Association of Home Builders, he developed policy with state and local governments and numerous associations representing county officials, mayors and municipal leaders.

He is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a degree in political science and earned the American Society of Association Executives’ Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential in 2002.
