Shaine Anderson has been named as executive vice president and chief operating officer for NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association, effective July 1. In this role, Anderson will guide the association’s staff, chapters and volunteers to execute NAIOP’s mission of providing education, advocacy and connections to its 20,000+ members in 52 chapters across North America.
Anderson previously served as the association’s vice president for education. She successfully led NAIOP’s education team through the pandemic, adapting educational conferences to virtual platforms and guiding the association to record-breaking attendance at live events.
She previously served as the vice president of education and events, as well as the vice president of membership and programs, for the National Association of Landscape Professionals. Her experience also includes tenure as the vice president for the U.S. Indoor Soccer Association and executive director of the National Association of Retail Collection Attorneys.
Anderson is a graduate of James Madison University and a recipient of a leadership certificate from Cornell University’s SC Johnson College of Business. She held the American Society of Association Executives’ Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation for 17 years.
