The Research Foundation established the Visionaries program in 2017 for the purpose of connecting outstanding rising industry professionals with Research Foundation Governors who are experienced, well-respected industry leaders. Visionaries have an unparalleled opportunity to learn from and network with senior professionals through the exclusive mentorship program, which pairs a Visionary with up to three different Governors each year who can share their advice and valuable industry insights. Visionaries also play an important role in the Foundation’s research development process by sharing their perspectives and expertise.

Visionaries were selected based on their career accomplishments, history of involvement with NAIOP, and a demonstrated interest in the Research Foundation’s mission. Visionaries are eligible to become a Governor at any time during or following their three-year term.

“Engaging these rising industry professionals brings important fresh perspectives to the Foundation’s work,” said Marc Selvitelli, CAE, executive director of the NAIOP Research Foundation. “As part of our commitment to engage and develop future industry leaders, the Visionaries program ensures the varied geographic regions, career paths and demographics are reflected in the Foundation’s research, and provokes robust and insightful discussions.”
