Kelsey has been with Heitman for seven years and is currently an Assistant Vice President in the firm’s North American Acquisitions group. She is responsible for originating, negotiating, executing, analyzing, and valuing potential investments in direct equity real estate within the United States, focused in the western part of the country. Kelsey has been involved in real estate transactions across the country with respect to a variety of property types (residential, industrial, retail, office, hospitality, and self storage) and a variety of structures (e.g. development joint ventures, investment joint ventures, mezzanine financing, and 100% free and clear transactions). She has been involved in acquiring 28 transactions valued at over $4 billion. Having historically focused on industrial, Kelsey is also the acquisitions representative responsible for approving the quarterly asset values for Heitman’s 45 million square foot industrial portfolio in addition to providing capital markets updates on the sector.
Kelsey received a BBA in Real Estate and Urban Land Economics and Accounting from the Wisconsin School of Business at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Kelsey currently serves on the NAIOP Developing Leaders Board for the Chicago Chapter and is also a part of the NAIOP National Forums Program, currently serving as co-chair for her forum. Kelsey is also a member of REFF, a Chicago based women’s group that helps advance women in real estate. Additionally, Kelsey was one of the co-founders of Heitman’s employee resource group for women called iLEAD.
