As the Trade Commissioner overseeing the Investment Division at the Canadian Embassy, Zachary is responsible for ensuring that foreign investors have the strategic guidance and assistance they need to successfully grow their business abroad. For close to 10 years, Zachary has focused on breaking down the barriers to international expansion for U.S. companies and helping them navigate the international marketplace. Prior to joining the Canadian Embassy, Zachary was Vice Consul at the U.K. Department for International Trade, where he led the U.K. government’s foreign direct investment activities for high growth technology businesses in the U.S. Prior to his role at the Department for International Trade, Zachary spent time working in North Carolina state and local government, as well as advising on a state gubernatorial campaign. Zachary has a BA in Political Science from North Carolina State University in the United States and an MSc in International Public Policy from University College London in the United Kingdom.
