Richard Prokup is the Chief Executive Officer, United States, for Singapore-based Mapletree, overseeing the group’s nationwide non-REIT business operations. Since the U.S. platform's inception, he has spearheaded its development, scaling it to over $15 billion in assets. With more than 35 years in commercial real estate, Prokup has built a nationally focused career spanning private and public companies, overseeing more than $30 billion in assets and driving over $10 billion in acquisitions and development. Before joining Mapletree in 2018, Richard spent 14 years at First Industrial Realty Trust, where, as senior vice president of operations, he oversaw operations for the central region, after previously holding leadership roles at Grubb & Ellis and M&J Wilkow. He holds an MBA from the University of Memphis.
