John Robbins is Senior Managing Director for Granite Properties, serving as City Leader for the company’s Atlanta and Nashville operations. Since joining the firm in 2010, John has grown Granite’s presence in Atlanta by acquiring or developing 2.6 million square feet of office buildings valued at more than $1.1 billion and mentored a growing Granite team. John serves on Granite’s Management Committee and Investment Committee. Throughout his twenty-nine year career, John has led numerous complex mixed-use development projects and creative value-add and opportunistic acquisitions.
John earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in 1989 and a Masters in Business Administration in 1996, both from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
John is a board member of the Council for Quality Growth. He served on the NAIOP Georgia board of directors from 2008 to 2012, including President in 2012, and has served on the Advisory Board since that time. He is also a current member of the Finance Committee and former board member of the Ron Clark Academy, for which he served as Treasurer and on the Executive Committee. He previously served on the Advisory Council for the Center for Real Estate Studies at the University of North Carolina.
