Irene Alvarez serves as chief marketing and communications officer for the Columbus Partnership, which she recently rejoined after founding a brand and marketing consultancy serving civic organizations and nonprofits nationwide. With more than 20 years of experience in civic leadership, marketing and economic development, she previously spent a decade in leadership roles at the Partnership, where she helped bring Columbus' unified brand to life and spearheaded innovative community campaigns that earned international recognition. Her work has supported major economic development wins and established new standards for regional collaboration and place branding.
