Anthony Pennington-Cross is the Bell Chair Professor in Real Estate in the College of Business Administration at Marquette University and a faculty member at Homer Hoyt Institute. He is on the Board of the American Real Estate Society and the Milwaukee Global Health Consortium. He is widely published in academic journals such as Real Estate Economics and many others. Recent research includes the impact of Airbnb on crime, the spatial clustering of gas stations, and models of mortgage loss.

Anthony Pennington-Cross earned his Ph.D. in Economics from The George Washington University in January of 1997 and completed a Post Doctoral Fellowship at the Zell & Lurie Real Estate Center housed in the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in December of 1999.

Prior to joining Marquette University Anthony was a Senior Economist in the Research Division at The Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis.  While living in Washington, D.C., Anthony was a Senior Economist at the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight in the Office of Policy and Research and the Director of Research at the Research Institute for Housing America (RIHA) a research organization devoted to extending home ownership to all Americans.
