Allen Breed is an Associate Director at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Investment Management Company, MITIMCo. MITIMCo currently oversees approximately $35 B of Institute assets, comprising the endowment, pension, and working capital, including $4.5B of commercial real estate in Cambridge. In his role, Allen focuses on the acquisition, development, leasing, and management of commercial property in the Cambridge real estate market, with an emphasis on attracting life science and information technology companies to create a built environment that is conducive to innovation and knowledge sharing.
Prior to joining MITIMCo, Allen was in the Development Group at The JBG Companies, a commercial real estate developer and investor in the Washington DC market. Allen received his Bachelor of Engineering from Vanderbilt University and his Master of Business Administration from the MIT Sloan School of Management. Allen is an active member of NAIOP Massachusetts and serves on its Leadership Council.
