Chapter: NAIOP Colorado

Elizabeth Mondo is a graduate student at the University of Denver's Daniels College of Business, pursuing her MS in Real Estate and the Built Environment. Her studies focus on mixed-use development and urban placemaking, with particular excitement about Denver's transformative projects like the Ball Arena redevelopment. Elizabeth brings frontline leadership experience from her 11-year active-duty service as a U.S. Army Critical Care Flight Nurse in Iraq and Syria, where she commanded medical evacuation teams in combat zones while leveraging her fluent Arabic to coordinate complex multinational operations. Her unique background in crisis decision-making, cross-cultural communication, and mission execution will provide unmatched perspective in navigating future real estate development and construction projects.

Elizabeth is an active member of several professional organizations including the Urban Land Institute (as a two-time Etkins Scholar), CREW Network (2024/25 Scholar), and NAIOP. She is a recent alumna of Denver's Susan Stanton Leadership Academy, an organization dedicated to developing emerging leaders in commercial real estate. Looking ahead, Elizabeth plans to participate in the NAIOP Rocky Mountain Challenge as part of her final graduate experience at the University of Denver. Her goal is to contribute to innovative mixed-use developments that create vibrant, sustainable urban communities – bringing the same dedication and strategic thinking that once served her patients to now serve neighborhoods.
