John Akpan works for EQT Exeter on the industrial investments team, primarily covering the mid-Atlantic region. He is also a recent MBA graduate of the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, having majored in Finance and Real Estate. Prior to Wharton, John was an Associate at Twain Financial Partners, a $4B real estate investment manager specializing in structured alternatives to mezzanine debt, e.g., tax credit equity, PACE finance, and sale-leaseback. In addition to his professional ventures, John serves as an independent consultant to emerging private equity firms, providing due diligence, underwriting, and deal structuring services. When he is not working, John can be found engaging in extreme sports, from snowboarding to skydiving.
