Steven Watts currently serves as the Managing Partner of Red River Development and CEO of Rose Rock Development Partners. Steven co-founded Rose Rock Development Partners in 2016, focusing on transformative multifamily projects, including urban redevelopment, urban new construction, and suburban expansions. In 2020, he launched Red River Development, dedicated to pioneering Build-to-Rent (BTR) housing communities that redefine modern living.
Steven’s companies have successfully developed and redeveloped 1,500 units across four states, with an additional 1,000 units currently in the pipeline—taking their presence into six total states. His firms manages and operate their own developments, with $480 million in assets under management (AUM). Steven also serves as CEO of Trulo Homes, the property management division of Red River Development, ensuring operational excellence across his portfolio.
Steven graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2009 with a degree in Finance and Entrepreneurship & Venture Management, and graduated with an MBA from Oklahoma State University in 2014.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Steven most recently served as President of NAIOP Tulsa, the city’s premier commercial real estate development professional association. Additionally, he is board member of the New Home Trends Institute National Council, and serves on the Board of Directors for Metro Christian Academy, where he leads the Master Plan for campus expansion.
Steven and his wife, Regan, reside in Tulsa with their three daughters: Anna Lee (7), Olivia (5), and Vera (3 months). When time allows, he finds joy in creating lasting memories with family and friends at the lake.
