Robert G. Cutlip

Cutlip recently retired from the commercial real estate industry in 2023. His last position was as president and senior managing director of Gladstone Commercial Corporation, a publicly traded Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT), leading the team in sourcing real estate transactions and managing the company’s portfolio of industrial and office properties in 26 states from 2012 to his retirement. During this period his team increased assets under management from $400 MM to over $1.5B.

Bob has over 30 years of experience sourcing and executing office and industrial acquisition and development transactions throughout the United States. Before joining Gladstone, Bob was Managing Director at Sealy & Company, LLC, a vertically integrated real estate operating company. He served as managing director and then as executive vice president – North America with First Industrial Realty Trust (NYSE:FR) from 2006 to 2008. He also held senior management positions with Highwoods Properties (NYSE:HIW) and Duke-Weeks Realty Corporation (NYSE:DRE) and was both a leader of Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions and served on the companies’ management committees.

He is currently a member of NAIOP, a trade association of approximately 20,000 developers, owners and investors. Bob has held several national positions including the national chair in 2006 and the chair of NAIOP’s Research Foundation in 2010 and 2011. He is currently a Governor of the Foundation and a member of the Industrial Forum. Bob received a BS in Civil Engineering from the United States Air Force Academy, an MS in Civil Engineering from Vanderbilt University and an MBA in Finance from the University of Southern California.
