James D. Shilling is the George L. Ruff Endowed Chair in Real Estate Studies at DePaul University. Professor Shilling has been active in applying economic and finance research to the real estate industry. Prior to DePaul University, Professor Shilling was on the faculty of the University of Wisconsin, Cambridge University, and Louisiana State University. Professor Shilling also taught as a visiting professor at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and the University of Melbourne, Australia and worked for the Federal Home Loan Bank Board.
