What would it take to bring the manufacturing of the future to your community? One model to watch is the Southeastern Institute of Manufacturing and Technology (SiMT), in Florence, S.C. A leading Advanced Technology Center, the SiMT was created to house advanced manufacturing and design engineering (e.g., 3D, virtual reality and rapid prototyping), a leadership institute and workforce development training. Designed to fully support manufacturers - from the entrepreneur to established firms working on advanced products and technologies - the comprehensive facility includes:

  • Executive board room
  • Classrooms
  • State-of-the-art auditorium
  • The Interactive Digital Center for 3D interactive simulations
  • Conference center, with catering facility
  • Incubator space (under development)
