Ernesto Rodriguez is the Section Chief of Aviation Marketing and Air Service Development at the Miami-Dade Aviation Department, which operates Miami International Airport and four general aviation airports in Miami-Dade County. In this role, his responsibilities include planning, organizing and implementing MIA’s passenger and cargo marketing programs, including route and air service development. His efforts have helped MIA become the only U.S. airport with more than 100 passenger and cargo airlines and have helped MIA’s air service network expand to more than 150 destinations worldwide. Additionally, he has worked arduously over the past 28 years in developing the sophisticated carrier, route and logistical infrastructure that has made MIA the top international freight airport in the country and 13th worldwide.
