During its annual organizational meeting in Columbus, the NAIOP of Ohio Board of Directors announced the election of Dayton-area attorney Robert Ballinger as its next Board President, effective January 2026 through December 2027. Ballinger, a shareholder at Coolidge Wall Co., L.P.A. in Dayton, succeeds outgoing President Mike Sikora.
Ballinger has been an active member of the Dayton Area Chapter of NAIOP and has served in key leadership roles on the statewide board, including as Board Vice-President, Chairman of the NAIOP of Ohio PAC Committee, and leading an Ohio delegation at the annual NAIOP Chapter Leadership & Legislative Retreat in Washington, D.C. His leadership in advancing NAIOP’s mission, particularly in strengthening advocacy efforts and supporting pro-growth policies, has positioned him to guide the organization during a critical period of continued development across Ohio.
“Our state is experiencing extraordinary momentum in real estate development, from housing and mixed-use projects to major industrial investments,” said Ballinger. “I look forward to building on the strong foundation set by our leadership and working with our chapters to ensure NAIOP continues to be the leading voice for commercial real estate in Ohio.”
NAIOP of Ohio represents the commercial real estate development industry statewide, working through its local chapters to advocate for policies that support investment, job creation, and economic growth. In recent years, NAIOP of Ohio has built strong momentum through meaningful legislative achievements and organizational milestones that have strengthened the commercial real estate industry and advanced productive economic development policy across the state.
“Robert has been an outstanding partner on the Board, bringing both vision and a steady hand,” said Sikora. “His dedication to advancing NAIOP’s mission will serve our members exceptionally well, and I am proud to pass the torch to him.”
Sikora will remain a member of the Executive Committee as Secretary, representing the Northern Ohio Chapter. Rick Craven will join them as Vice President from the Central Ohio Chapter, and Josh Gerth will serve as Treasurer from the Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky Chapter.
