Japan’s tallest building opened earlier this month (March 7) in Osaka, home to Asia’s third-biggest metropolitan economy, according to an article in Bloomberg News. It took Kintetsu Corp., an Osaka-based railway operator, four years and 130 billion yen ($1.3 billion) to construct the 984-foot-high Abeno Harukas skyscraper, which surpasses the 971-foot-high Landmark Tower in Yokohama, about 20 miles south of Tokyo.
