Dr. Michael A. Anikeeff is an Associate Professor of Business, Chair of the Real Estate Department and Director of the Allan L. Berman Real Estate Development Institute at Johns Hopkins University. His research interests and publications are in the areas of urban development and strategic management in development companies. He has published in the Journal of Real Estate Research, Journal of Real Estate Portfolio Management and the Journal of Managerial Issues.
Prior to joining Hopkins in 1991, Dr. Anikeeff was a Senior Associate in research and education at the Urban Land Institute in Washington, D.C. At ULI he developed the real estate school and workshops in industrial/office development. He also served as Assistant Professor in the graduate planning program in the School of Architecture, University of Arkansas; Legislative Assistant to Congressman Charles Bennett (D-FL); and Assistant Professor at the University of North Florida.
Dr. Anikeeff received his A.B. from University of California at Berkeley in Social Science, a Master's in City Planning from the School of Architecture, Ohio State University and a Ph.D. in the area of community development also from Ohio State, as well as an M.B.A. in Finance from
American University.
Dr. James R. DeLisle
Dr. James R. DeLisle is the Runstad Professor of Real Estate and the Director of the Runstad Center for Real Estate Studies at the University of Washington. Prior to his current assignment, he was an Executive Vice-President and head of Strategic Planning for Lend Lease Real Estate Investments, a global company and the successor firm to Equitable Real Estate where he founded the Investment Research Department and directed it for nine years. Prior to that, he was a Vice-President of Investment Research at Prudential Real Estate Investors. Before moving into the industry side of the business, he held academic positions for over 12 years. He is an active speaker at industry conferences and has been an active member and leader in a number of industry trade associations and is a past-president of the American Real Estate Society (ARES). He has published widely in academic and professional journals. Dr. DeLisle received his B.B.A. in real estate and M.S. in marketing research from the University of Wisconsin. He received his Ph.D. in real estate and urban land economics from the University of Wisconsin under his mentor, the late Dr. James A. Graaskamp, one of the leading academic proponents of applied real estate research.
Dr. Stephen S. Fuller

Dr. Steven Fuller joined the faculty at George Mason University in 1994 as Professor of Public Policy and served as Director of the Ph.D. Program in Public Policy from July 1998 to June 2000 and again since July 2001. He also serves as Director of the Center for Regional Analysis. In September 2001, the GMU Board of Visitors appointed him University Professor.
His research has focused on the changing structure of metropolitan area economies and measuring current and near-term performance. He developed a series of indicators to track the current and near-term performance of the Washington area economy in 1990 and authored Economy Watch, published monthly by the Greater Washington Research Center from February 1991 to September 1996. These indicators are currently available monthly on the Metropolitan Washington Council of Government's website. He also developed leading and coincident indices for Fairfax County in 1997 that are published monthly on the County's website. His Washington area research includes studies on the impacts of federal spending, the hospitality industry, international business, and technology on the Washington area and District of Columbia economies. His research also comprises international assignments, including on-going projects in Portugal.
Dr. Fuller received a B.A. in Economics from Rutgers University (1962) and his Doctorate in Regional Planning and Economic Development (1969) from Cornell University. He has authored more than 500 articles, papers and reports in the field of urban and regional economic development, including monthly reports on the Washington metropolitan area and Fairfax county economies.
Dr. G. Donald Jud

Dr. Jud is Professor Emeritus of Finance in the Bryan School of Business and Economics at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and principal of Jud & Associates, which is also located in Greensboro, N.C. In addition to previous experience teaching economics, finance and real estate, Dr. Jud is the author of more than 80 academic articles and three books. Presently, Dr. Jud is a research fellow of the Homer Hoyt Advanced Studies Institute, where he is an emeritus member of the Weimer School Faculty and the Board of Directors of the Institute. In 2003, he was honored as a Burns Fellow at the University of Denver. Dr. Jud received his Ph.D. from the University of Iowa and MBA and BA degrees from the University of Texas.
Dr. Jud also serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics and the Journal of Real Estate Literature and is a member of the Appraisal Journal’s academic review panel. He is a past editor of the Journal of Real Estate Research and continues to serve as a member of its editorial board. Added leadership experiences for Dr. Jud include a prior term as president of the American Real Estate Society (ARES) and former ARES Director of Publications.
Dr. Mark Levine

Dr. Mark Levine is the Director of Burns School of Real Estate and Construction Management at the University of Denver. He has presented numerous papers on various topics in real estate principles, law investment, appraisal, business law, tax and international real estate investments. He has published over 56 books and 240 articles. In addition to being an educator, he is a tax attorney.
He received his Bachelor's in Business and Economics at Colorado State University and his Ph.D. in Business from Century University. He also holds a law degree in Tax Law from New York University.
Richard Nicholas Loope, FAIA

Richard “Ryc” Nicholas Loope is the Director of Real Estate Programs and Professor in the College of Design at Arizona State University. In addition to previous academic teaching experience, he was the president and principal architect of Taliesin Architects, as well as CEO and president for The Durrant Group. He completed the Program for Management Development at Harvard Business School, received his Master of Environmental Design degree from Yale University and a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Maryland. Presently, Professor Loope is the President and CEO of HL Design Build LLC and a founding member and principal architect in PDI global design consortium.
Professor Loope has authored/co-authored 30 articles, papers and book excerpts on professional practice, energy use strategies and architectural education, and serves on the Board of Directors for numerous organizations such as Arizona Habitat for Humanity, ASU Stardust Center, Council for Design Excellence and Solar Energy Research Foundation.
Dr. Stephen Malpezzi

Dr. Stephen Malpezzi is Professor, Wangard Faculty Scholar, and Chairperson of the University of Wisconsin-Madison's Department of Real Estate and Urban Land Economics. Malpezzi is a Fellow of UW’s Center for Real Estate, an Associate Member of the Department of Urban and Regional Planning, and an Affiliate of UW’s Institute for Research on Poverty. Prior to joining UW, Malpezzi was an economist specializing in urban development at the World Bank from 1981 to 1990. He was affiliated with the Urban Institute from 1977 to 1981.
He holds a Ph.D. in economics from The George Washington University, an M.A. in international affairs from the same university, and a B.A. in political science from LaSalle College.
Dr. Norman G. Miller

Norm Miller is a Professor and the Director of the MSRE Program at the Burnham-Moores Center for Real Estate at the University of San Diego. Previously he was at the University of Cincinnati, and spent time as a Visiting Faculty at Depaul and the University of Hawaii. He started his academic career at the University of Georgia, and received his Ph.D. from the Ohio State University in Finance and Real Estate with a minor in City and Regional Planning. He is active on the editorial board of several national/international journals and is the immediate past President of ARES, the American Real Estate Society.
Dr. Miller has numerous academic articles, books and articles in trade market publications on housing, brokerage, mortgage risk, valuation and many other topics. His most recent book Commercial Real Estate Analysis and Investment with Geltner, Eicholtz and Clayton is in its second edition. Dr. Miller has lectured globally and domestically from Singapore and Thailand to Russia. He became one of the first NAIOP Distinguished Fellows in 2002 as well as one of the primary instructors for NAIOP educational programs. In addition, he is an Educational Consultant for CCIM. His research covers housing risk analysis, price forecasting, AVMs and mortgage risk analysis. As a Homer Hoyt Land Use Institute Faculty and Board member, he is involved with premier academic and industry thought leaders in a think tank setting for real estate issues and trends. Currently he is President of the Hoyt Institute for Real Estate, which promotes commercial real estate education and career path awareness. Dr. Thomas A. Musil

Dr. Musil is the Director of the Shenehon Center for Real Estate Education and the Master of Science degree in Real Estate, in Opus College of Business at the University of St. Thomas, Minneapolis, Minnesota. Previously, Dr. Musil held positions as the Director of the Real Estate Education Program at the University of Minnesota (1980-1988) and Director of the Minnesota Center for Real Estate and Housing Education at St. Cloud State University.
Dr. Musil has written several papers and articles on real estate and economic development topics. Recent articles and papers include: "Impact Analysis Practices in Economic Development;" "How Cities Measure the Benefits of Economic Development and Subsidies;" "Economic Development: Evaluating Site Selection;" "Project Impact Analysis: Insights for Developers;" "Cost Benefit and Valuation: An Overview of the Development of Analysis Methods;" and "Critical Issues in Corporate Real Estate: Developing a Better Understanding of Project Impacts."
In addition to regular teaching in the real estate area, Musil is a frequent conference speaker and teaches a business course: Foundations of Business: Practice and Ethics. Musil serves as a commercial arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association, is a member of the American Real Estate Society, Lambda Alpha International, National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts, National Association of Forensic Economics, Minnesota /Dakotas CCIM Chapter, and the Corporate Real Estate Network (CORNET).
Since 2005 Musil has written a syndicated real estate column for McClatchy Tribune News Service distributed to 350 newspapers. Musil is the book review editor of the Journal of Real Estate Literature and a member of the Editorial Boards of Development Magazine and the Journal of Corporate Real Estate. During the past thirty years Musil has served on numerous committees and boards in real estate related government, non-profit and professional associations.
Dr. Musil holds a BA from Macalester College, an MBA from the University of St. Thomas and a Doctorate in Public Administration from Hamline University.
Dr. Steven Ott

Dr. Ott holds the appointment of John Crosland, Sr. Distinguished Professor of Real Estate and Development at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Dr. Ott's academic research focuses on topics such as Real Estate Investment Trusts, mortgage loan pricing, mortgage-backed securities, and applications of option pricing to real estate valuation and development
decisions. His articles have appeared in journals such as the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Journal of Banking and Finance, Financial Management, Journal of Urban Economics, Real Estate Economics and the Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics.
He serves on the editorial boards of Real Estate Economics and the Journal of Real Estate Portfolio Management, and he has served as a consultant to many investment banking, real estate advisory and real estate development firms.
Dr. Ott received a Master's degree in Real Estate and Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1988, and received his Ph.D. in Finance and Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1992.
Dr. Sidney B. Rosenberg

Dr. Sidney B. Rosenberg is the William F. Sheffield Professor of Real Estate in the College of Business at the University of North Florida, and served as interim department chair for the UNF Department of Accounting and Finance. He joined the faculty of UNF in 1991 after two years as an Assistant Professor at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton. Rosenberg received his Ph. D. in real estate and finance and his MBA degree in finance from Georgia State University in Atlanta, Ga. He served as a Fulbright Exchange Professor in 1994. He has taught seminars in Santiago, Chile , Paris, and the University of Provence on Mortgage Backed Securities and International Finance.
He has had extensive real estate lending and development experience, and was the president of a major mortgage banking firm in Atlanta. He currently consults and is an expert witness on matters involving real estate finance and real estate investment. He has also taught at Georgia State University, and for the Mortgage Banker's Association of America. Dr. Rosenberg's research focuses on international finance and real estate, agency issues in real estate and finance, and real estate investment and market analysis.

Dr. Tsur Somerville is Director of the UBC Centre for Urban Economics and Real Estate, and Associate Professor of Strategy & Business Economics and holder of the Real Estate Foundation Professorship in Real Estate Finance in the Faculty of Commerce at the University of British Columbia. Dr. Somerville has worked closely with the Vancouver, BC NAIOP chapter in a variety of ways to facilitate a better connection between the university and the local professional community, including the Pacific Northwest University Challenge. His current research interests focus on real estate development and real estate markets. Among the areas of active interest are school quality and house prices, the effects of uncertainty on real estate markets, issues and questions in land assembly and urban redevelopment, and the economics of sustainability. His articles have been published in Real Estate Economics, the Journal of Urban Economics, Regional Science and Urban Economics, Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics, Journal of Housing Economics, Journal of Housing Research, and International Real Estate Review. He serves as the vice-president of the Asian Real Estate Society, a member of the Board of Directors of the American Real Estate and Urban Economics Association, and on the editorial boards of the Journal of Real Estate Research and International Real Estate Review. Dr Somerville received his Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard University and his BA from the Hebrew University (Israel) in Economics and East Asian Studies.
Dr. Nancy Wallace

Nancy Wallace is a Full Professor in the Haas School of Business, the University of California, Berkeley. She is Chair of the Real Estate Group and is Co-Chair of the Fisher Center for Real Estate and Urban Economics. She teaches asset-backed securitization, real estate investment analysis, real estate strategy, and real estate finance at Haas. Her research focus includes models of residential house price dynamics, mortgage contract design and pricing, mortgage backed security pricing and hedging, lease contract design and pricing, and executive compensation. She has served as a visiting scholar at the San Francisco Federal Reserve Bank and the Université de Cergy Pointoise, Centre de Recherche THEMA (Théorie Economique, Modélisation, et Applications), and the Stockholm School of Economics. Professor Wallace is a past President of the American Real Estate and Urban Economics Association. She is also a member of the editorial boards of the Journal of Computational Finance and Real Estate Economics.
Dr. Elaine Worzala

Dr. Elaine Worzala is a professor and the director of the Center for Real Estate Development at Clemson University. She previously was a Professor of Real Estate in the Edward St. John Department of Real Estate at Johns Hopkins University and had been the MSRE Director and the Research Director at the Burnham-Moores Center for Real Estate at the University of San Diego. She has also been a faculty member at Colorado State University and a visiting professor with the Real Estate Center at the University of Connecticut. Dr. Worzala has taught numerous different real estate courses including introductory real estate, real estate valuations, real estate feasibility, real estate finance and investments and a graduate level real estate investments case course. In addition, she was the interim Assistant Provost for USD in the 2004/05 academic years.
Elaine holds a Ph.D. in Real Estate and Urban Land Economics (1992) and an MS in Real Estate Appraisal and Investment Analysis (1984) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Dr. Worzala is the immediate past-president of the American Real Estate Society and is a past-president of the International Real Estate Society.
In 2000, Dr. Worzala was awarded the IRES Achievement Award that recognized her outstanding achievement in real estate research education and practice at an international level. She was also awarded the Bert Kruijt Service Award for outstanding service to IRES. In January 2005, she was initiated as a Fellow in the Weimer School that is part of a real estate think tank devoted to expanding the knowledge of real estate educators. In 2006, she was initiated in to Lambda Alpha International, became a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors as an exemplary member, and was invited to become the first woman Distinguished Fellow of the National Association of Office and Industrial Properties.
