Meet Our Governors

Steve Bronner is Managing Principal of Parmenter Realty Partners located in Dallas, Texas. Parmenter is a "value-added" real estate investment and operating company that invests primarily in office properties through private real estate investment trusts. Steve has served as a member of the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee. He is a past chairman of the National Forum Advisory Committee and the Investment Management I National Forum. Steve also served as a president of the North Texas NAIOP Chapter. He currently is a member of the Office Acquisitions Forum.

Richard Cannon is the former president of the Watson Land Company in Carson, California. He has served on the NAIOP Board of Directors, Executive Committee, the National Advisory Board and was NAIOP's chairman of the board in 1988.

Roger Christianson is the managing director of The Public Private Development Collaborative, a real estate development and services firm focused on providing facilities for governmental, non-profit, education and other institutional users. Mr. Christianson joined NAIOP in 1992 and is a member of the Industrial Development I Forum and the Arizona Chapter.

Paul F. Ciminelli is president and CEO of Ciminelli Development Company Inc., a real estate development and investment firm that manages more than 7.5 million square feet of office, flex, industrial and warehouse space in New York and Florida. He is a member of the Office Development I Forum.

Peter J. Cocoziello is president and CEO of Advance Realty Group in Bedminster, N.J. Mr. Cocoziello has served on the NAIOP Board of Directors, Executive Committee and is a past president of NAIOP's New Jersey Chapter. He was on the National Advisory Board.

Stephen Crosby is president of CSX Real Property, Inc. He oversees their real estate activities including land development and sales, industrial development, limited hotel development, property sales and leasing, telecommunication network development and public rail transit. Mr. Crosby received his MBA from the University of Florida and continues to operate out of Jacksonville. Mr. Crosby served as NAIOP's 2004 chairman of the board and on the Nominating Committee. He is a member of the Business Park Development Forum. He also is a former chairman and a current trustee of the NAIOP Research Foundation and serves on the Foundation's Research Committee.

Robert G. Cutlip is president of Gladstone Commercial Corporation in McLean, Virginia. He served as NAIOP's chairman of the board for 2006 and was a member of the Board of Directors, the Credit and Capital Advisory Board, and the Nominating Committee. Mr. Cutlip serves on the Audit Committee, and is a member of NAIOP's Industrial Development I Forum. He is past chairman of the NAIOP Research Foundation, a current Foundation trustee and serves on the Fundraising Committee.

Daniel DeMarco is a partner at Campanelli and oversees real estate operations including acquisitions, development and construction activities. Mr Demarco is a past president of the Massachusetts Chapter and NAIOP National. He served on the Board of Directors and the Awards, Nominating, and Audit committees. Mr. DeMarco is a past Research Foundation trustee and currently serves on the Foundation’s Fellows Credentialing Committee.

Ronnie E. Duncan is president of the Duncan Companies, Inc., in Tampa, Florida. Mr. Duncan served several years as NAIOP's vice president of Government Affairs and has been a NAIOP-PAC Trustee. He is a past president of NAIOP's Tampa Bay Chapter. Mr. Duncan is a Founding Trustee of the NAIOP Research Foundation.

Anne Evans Estabrook heads Elberon Development Co., a family-owned real estate holding company in Cranford, New Jersey. Ms. Evans Estabrook has served on the NAIOP Board of Directors and Executive Committee and was the chairman of the NAIOP Board of Directors in 2001. She is a past president of NAIOP's New Jersey Chapter and is a Founding Trustee of the NAIOP Research Foundation.

Mark Fornes is managing partner of Mark Fornes Realty, Inc., a leading developer of office/warehouse (flex) space in the Dayton, Ohio region. Mr. Fornes has been a NAIOP member since 1979 and was a past president of the Dayton chapter. He is the current chairman of the Industrial Development I Forum and a member of the Research Foundation’s Fundraising Committee.

David Gockel is president/CEO of Langan Engineering & Environmental Services, Inc., a full-service consulting firm specializing in real estate development, with 18 offices throughout the U.S. and abroad. Mr. Gockel has served multiple terms on the NJ Chapter Board of Trustees and has been a strong supporter of NAIOP for over 25 years. He is a member of the Trends in Real Estate Development II Forum.

Susan H.S. Graham is owner of Susan H. Graham, LLC, located in Honolulu, Hawaii. Ms. Graham is a past Hawaii Chapter president and served on the NAIOP National Executive Committee and Board of Directors, and Environment and Infrastructure Sub-committee. She is currently vice chairman of the Research Foundation and chair of the Foundation's Distinguished Fellows Committee.

Christopher Haley is co-founder of Palladian Realty Capital LLC, with offices in Maryland and Delaware. As a boutique real estate advisory-firm, Palladian offers differentiated and independent services to its privately-held and publicly-listed constituents supported by a research-oriented foundation. Palladian leverages its principals' advisory- and research-oriented capabilities to assist property-oriented businesses in their capital- and strategic-planning efforts. Prior to Palladian, Mr. Haley was managing director in Wachovia Securities' Equity Capital Markets division where he led its research and investment efforts in the real estate securities sector beginning in 1993. Mr. Haley is a trustee of the Research Foundation and is chairman of the Foundation's Research Committee.

Ralph Heins co-founded Primera Companies in 1989 and serves as president. Primera Companies is a 3.5 million-square-foot industrial and office company whose portfolio is based in Dallas, Texas. Mr. Heins served as a member of the NAIOP Executive Committee and is a former chairman of the Industry Trends Task Force. Mr. Heins was the 2012 president of the North Texas NAIOP Chapter. He is currently a member of the NAIOP Board of Directors, the chairman of the National Forums Advisory Committee, a member of the Family-Owned Business Forum, and is a NAIOP-PAC Trustee. He is a Research Foundation Trustee, a member of the Research Foundation's Research Committee, and chairman of the Foundation’s Fundraising Committee.

Douglas O. Howe is CEO of Touchstone Corporation in Seattle, Washington. The Touchstone Corporation is an office developer and oversees project and construction management and asset management. Mr. Howe was the 2009 chairman of the NAIOP Board of Directors and served on the NAIOP National Board of Directors, and on the Awards, Development, and Nominating committees. He is a past president for the Washington State Chapter. He is a current member of the Audit Committee, the Office Development II Forum, and is a NAIOP-PAC Trustee. Mr. Howe is chairman of the Research Foundation.

William E. Hunt is president of the Elmhurst Group - a Pittsburgh-based organization that invests in commercial real estate and operating businesses. Elmhurst's real estate holdings total more than 2.5 million square feet of office, distribution, flex space and a hotel, all in Western Pennsylvania. The firm has also invested in the retail, medical, hospitality, oil and gas, and electronic security industries. Mr. Hunt was the 2012 chairman of the Board of Directors. He is a former chairman and member of the Government Affairs Committee and a past president of the Pittsburgh Chapter. He also served on the Nominating Committee. He is a current member of the NAIOP Board of Directors, Audit Committee, and the Private Developers I Forum.

James M. "Marty" Irving is the CEO of Irving Interests in Reston, Virginia. Mr. Irving served on the NAIOP Board of Directors and Executive Committee, and was chairman of the NAIOP Board of Directors in 2000. He has served as a past president of NAIOP's Northern Virginia Chapter, was a NAIOP-PAC Trustee, and is a Founding Trustee of the NAIOP Research Foundation.

Alan B. Kahn is president of Kahn Development Company which develops and manages real estate throughout the Southeast including office, industrial and retail projects. He currently directs the development, purchase, and rehabilitation of office, retail, industrial and mixed-use projects. He is a member of the Office Development II Forum and the Foundation's Research and Fundraising Committees.

Jean Kane is CEO of Welsh - a fully integrated real estate services group offering Brokerage and Real Estate Management (operating as Colliers International | Minneapolis-St. Paul), Construction, Architecture, Capital and Facility Services. Through hands-on leadership and straightforward communication, she leads the teams' strategic direction in achieving the objectives of the company and its clients. Kane joined NAIOP in 1992, and is a member and past president of NAIOP Minnesota. She is an alumna of the Harvard University Leading a Real Estate Company program and served as chair of the NAIOP’s Education, Government Affairs, Membership and Industry Trends committees.

Alex Klatskin is a partner with Forsgate Industrial Partners of Teterboro, New Jersey. He was the chairman of the Board of Directors in 2011 and a has served as a member of the Executive Committee. He is a past president of NAIOP New Jersey, former chairman of NAIOP's PAC Trustees, past vice chair of the Membership & Chapter Relations Committee, and a former member of the Tax & Finance Sub-committee, and the Nominating Committee. Mr. Klatskin is a current member of the Family-Owned Business Forum, and Audit Committee, and is a PAC Trustee. Mr. Klatskin is also a member of the Foundation's Research Committee.

Hugh D. Little is general partner for Capital Associates, located in Cary, North Carolina. He brings experienced leadership to the full-service commercial real estate company which is engaged in a variety of functions including commercial brokerage, leasing, fee management, land sales and development. Civic responsibility is important to him and community activities centering around educational programs are of great interest. Mr. Little is a past president of the Research Triangle Chapter and a former member of the National Board and Office Development I Forum.

George D. Livingston is chairman of NAI Realvest Partners, Inc. in Maitland, Florida. He is a past president of NAIOP's Central Florida Chapter and is a current member of the Industrial Development I Forum. Mr. Livingston is a Research Foundation trustee and serves on the Foundation's Research and Fundraising Committees.

Damien Madsen is with Taylor and Mathis, located in Maitland, Florida. The firm is a full-service brokerage firm specializing in the Central Florida office sector. A member since 1985, Mr. Madsen has served on the NAIOP Board of Directors and as chair of the Research Foundation's Fundraising Committee. He is a member of the Marketing and Leasing Forum.

Robb Merritt is the vice president of Merritt Properties, LLC. He plays a "hands on" role in the day-to-day business of the firm with executive responsibilities as well as a primary role in acquisitions and development. True to family tradition, Robb learned the development business from the ground up and began his career in the field. He has served as president of NAIOP's Baltimore Chapter, on the Chapter's Legislative Committee, and on the NAIOP Board of Directors. He is currently a member of the Industrial Development III National Forum.

William A. Mitchell, Jr. is the chairman emeritus for Carter, a privately held full-service commercial real estate firm located in Atlanta, Georgia, with four business units: Investments, Development Transaction Services and Property and Facility Management. Mr. Mitchell has served on the NAIOP Board of Directors and Executive Committee and was chairman of the NAIOP Board of Directors in 1983. He received the Developer of the Year Award in 1991 and is a past president of NAIOP's Georgia Chapter. He was on the NAIOP Advisory Board.

Michael Mullen is senior advisor and board member at IndCor - A Blackstone Company. His involvement in the metropolitan Chicago industrial market spans more than 25 years. Mr. Mullen was NAIOP's 2007 chairman of the Board and served on NAIOP's Board of Directors, the Audit Committee and the CEO Retreat Advisory Board. He was a member of, and served as the chair for, the Nominating Committee, and is a NAIOP-PAC Trustee.

Jon Peterson is the senior vice president for Commercial Development for the Peterson Companies in Fairfax, Virginia. The Peterson Companies is a full service real estate development and management company. He served on the Retail Task Force and is a past president for the Northern Virginia Chapter. Mr. Peterson serves on the NAIOP National Board of Directors, the Audit Committee, and is a member of the Mixed-Use Development Forum.

Ronald A. Pizzuti is chairman and chief executive officer of The Pizzuti Companies, a real estate development firm headquartered in Columbus, Ohio. Mr. Pizzuti joined NAIOP in 2001 and is a member of the Central Ohio Chapter and a past member of the Foundation's Research Committee.

Lawrence A. Pobuda is the founder of the Lawrence Real Estate Advisory Group, located in Edina, Minnesota. He served as chairman of the NAIOP Board of Directors in 2010 and was on the Executive Committee. Mr. Pobuda was a member and chairman of the Nominating, Audit, and Government Affairs Committees. He was an ADPAC Trustee in 2010. Mr. Pobuda is currently a member of the Office Development I Forum and the secretary/treasurer of the Research Foundation.

Ronald L. Rayevich is president of RayMar Associates, Inc., in Sarasota, Florida. Mr. Rayevich has served on the NAIOP Board of Directors and the Executive Committee and was chairman of NAIOP's Board of Directors in 1997. He is a past chair of the Awards Committee and a former member of the Nominating Committee. Mr. Rayevich was the chairman and a Founding Trustee of the NAIOP Research Foundation and served as chairman of the Foundation’s Fundraising Committee, on which he is currently a member. He is also the Founding Chairman of NAIOP's National Forums and is a current member of the Capital Markets I Forum.

Gene Reilly, as Prologis' chief executive officer for the Americas, oversees all aspects of business performance in Prologis' operations in the United States, Canada and Latin America. Reilly joined NAIOP in 2000, and previously served on the Board of Directors of NAIOP Massachusetts and the Corporate Industrial Education Committee. He is a member of the Investment Management II National Forum. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Harvard College.

Jack Schultz is founder and CEO of Agracel, Inc., an industrial development firm focused on development in rural America. Agracel began in 1986 and since then Agracel has completed projects in 14 states - owning over six million square feet of industrial space, which has facilitated over 5,000 jobs. Agracel also owns fifteen business parks and a short line railroad. Mr. Schultz is the author of Boomtown USA: The 7 ½ Keys to Big Success in Small Towns, was published in early 2004. He has been a member of NAIOP since 1995. He is a past member of the National Forums Advisory Committee and currently serves on the Editorial Board and Strategic Planning Committee, and is a member of the Private Developers III Forum.

Thomas D. Senkbeil is principal at Senkbeil Associates in Atlanta, Georgia. Mr. Senkbeil has served on the NAIOP Board of Directors and Executive Committee and was chairman of the NAIOP Board of Directors in 1996. He was a member of the Nominating and Audit committees. A member since 1985, he is a past president of NAIOP's Georgia Chapter.

Terry Stiles is the chairman and CEO of Stiles Corporation in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Mr. Stiles has served on the NAIOP Board of Directors and Executive Committee and was chairman of NAIOP's Board of Directors in 1998. He received the Developer of the Year Award in 2000. He is a past president of NAIOP's South Florida Chapter. Mr Stiles was a member of the Nominating, Audit, and Awards committees and a Research Foundation Trustee. He currently serves on the Foundation's Fellows Credentialing Committee and the Office Development I Forum.

Gerard Sweeney has served as president, chief executive officer and Trustee of Brandywine Realty Trust, located in Radnor, Pennsylvania, since 1994 and as president since 1988. Mr. Sweeney serves as chairman of the Schuylkill River Development Corporation and on the Board of Philadelphia's member station, WHYY. Sweeney is co-chair of the World Class Greater Philadelphia initiative, in addition to serving on the boards of several other Philadelphia-based organizations. He is actively involved the Real Estate Roundtable, and he serves on the Board of Governors for NAREIT.

Dwight S. Taylor is president of Stonegate Partners, LLC, located in Pikesville, Maryland. Mr. Taylor served on the NAIOP National Board of Directors, Diversity Task Force, Membership and Chapter Relations Committee, Audit committee, and is a past president of the Maryland Chapter. He is also a former member of the Office Development II Forum. He serves on the NAIOP Research Foundation Board of Trustees and the Foundation's Fundraising Committee.

Joseph S. Taylor is the president and CEO of Matrix Development Group in Cranbury, New Jersey. Mr. Taylor was the chairman of the NAIOP Board of Directors in 2005 and is a past vice chair of the Membership and Chapter Relations Committee. He is also a past president of NAIOP's New Jersey Chapter. He received the Developer of the Year Award in 1999. Mr. Taylor served on the NAIOP Board of Directors, is a former member of the Nominating, Business Development, and Membership and Chapter committees, and was a NAIOP-PAC Trustee in 2010. He was also a Research Foundation trustee.

Jonathan Tratt is the principal for Tratt Properties, LLC, a development and investment company based in Phoenix, Ariz. He is a former member of the Board of Directors of the NAIOP Arizona Chapter, the Membership and Chapter Relations and Development committees, and the Research Foundation's Fundraising Committee. He is also a former NAIOP-PAC Trustee. Mr. Tratt currently serves on the NAIOP Executive Committee and is a member of NAIOP's Industrial Development II Forum.

Richard L. Woodruff is the former COO/CFO of WWR-Real Estate Services, a commercial development and management company located in Boulder, Colo. Mr. Woodruff joined NAIOP in 1988. He was a member of the Capital Markets I Forum and the Colorado Chapter where he was the chapter treasurer and the chapter public relations chair. He was also a member and former chairman of the Tax and Finance Subcommittee, a trustee of the Research Foundation and served on the Foundation's Research and Fundraising committees.

Frank Wuest is president of both Forest City Enterprises' Boston regional office and the Forest City Science + Technology Group. Mr. Wuest is responsible for the management of Forest City's national life science portfolio, as well as all new investment activity initiated in the Boston region. He has been a NAIOP member since 1992 and is a past president of the Massachusetts Chapter. Mr. Wuest served on the NAIOP Board of Directors and the Membership and Chapter Committee. He is currently on the Capital Markets I Forum, and serves as a Research Foundation Trustee and on the Foundation's Research Committee.
