Sherry Cushman has spent her entire 27 year career exclusively advising tenants in the legal and non-profit/association sectors throughout the United States. While Sherry is headquartered in Washington, DC, she travels the country working with tenants developing their long term business real estate strategies that support and fulfill her client’s business goals and objectives.
Sherry specializes in prime lease transactions, lease restructures/renewals, build-to-suits and base building renovations for her clients. During her career she has been the lead broker in representing the real estate portfolios for numerous national and regional law firm accounts including Baker & Hostetler, Day Pitney, McCarter & English, Ross, Dixon & Bell and Marshall Dennehey. She has also been a team member of numerous national and global CBRE accounts including Greenberg Traurig, Clifford Chance and Bingham McCutchen.
In 1985 Sherry began her career in commercial interiors, designing interior space for law firms and non-profits. In 1993 she transitioned her career to commercial brokerage, incorporating her design expertise into the real estate evaluation process. Her in depth understanding of a building’s design, floorplate efficiency, base building infrastructure and budgeting, combined with her overall building evaluation capabilities, adds both qualitative and quantitative value to a real estate transaction.
Throughout her career, Sherry has represented tenants throughout the country in over 5 million square feet of leasing and build-to-suit transactions.
