NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association, has appointed Margarita Foster as Vice President for Knowledge and Research.
Foster leads the knowledge and research department at NAIOP and serves as editor-in chief of the association’s magazine, Development. Under her leadership, her department identifies trends and commissions research studies relating to office, industrial, retail and multi-family products.
“Margarita’s qualifications and her deep knowledge of the development industry will be an important asset to our association,” said NAIOP President and CEO Thomas J. Bisacquino. “Her background in the industry will be beneficial to our knowledge and research department as they work to provide our members with the latest research statistics related to our industry.”
Most recently, Foster was the director of research and marketing for Washington/Baltimore Grubb & Ellis. Prior to that, she worked in a similar capacity for Cassidy & Pinkard Colliers. She holds a LEED, AP designation and serves as an adjunct professor at George Mason University, teaching real estate and market analysis.
“I am very pleased to join NAIOP and become part of the knowledge and research team,” said Foster. “I look forward to working on the insightful research studies the NAIOP Research Foundation commissions each year.”
