Development '10 Chapter Toolkit

Development '10: The Annual Meeting for Commercial Real Estate is coming to Orlando, October 27- 29, 2010. This premier event will bring together professionals from across North America for top education, valuable insights and effective networking.

To encourage attendance at Development '10, we've created a convenient Chapter Toolkit for chapters to use to promote the conference. Please use the resources below and encourage your chapter members to attend Development '10!

Development '10 Flier (not personalized) - Print these out and have them on-hand in your offices and at chapter events.

Development '10 Talking Points - Ask your chairman or a Board member to share these from the podium at your next chapter event.

Development '10 PowerPoint Presentation - Use this loop during chapter programs.

Chapter E-mail Template (Outlook) (Zip file - see instructions below) - send an e-mail about the conference to your members and prospects.

The e-mail template must be saved on your computer, and then accessed through Outlook for use. Follow these instructions to download and use the templates.

Outlook 2007

  1. Click on the link above and select "Open". A separate Zip file box will open on your screen, and you'll see a file inside called "Chapter Dev'10 E-mail Template.oft." Save the file to your computer by right clicking on the file and choosing "Extract". Browse to where you want to save the file and click "Extract". Note where you've saved it, as you'll later need to navigate to it.
  2. Recommend to save the file in the "Templates" folder of Outlook, or on your desktop for easy access.
  3. Alternatively, instead of right clicking and selecting "Extract", simply double click on the file to immediately open it in Outlook.
  4. If you have "extracted" the file and saved it on your computer, now go to Outlook, choose "Tools" and then "Forms".
  5. Select "Choose a Form". From the "Look In" drop-down list, select "User Templates in File System." Navigate to the location where you saved the file you downloaded.
  6. Select the template name. This will open the message in an e-mail window.
  7. Customize the message by adding your personal or company name. Add a subject line and recipients.
  8. Click "Send" to distribute your message.
