Travel & Expense Policy
2010 Chapter Leadership and Legislative Retreat Travel and Expense Policy:
- Airline tickets must be coach fare, non-refundable and with a 21-day advance purchase (those purchased within a 21-day window will be reimbursed at the average 21-day fare for that route).
- NAIOP will reimburse for one checked bag per attendee per chapter.
Attendees who have been pre-approved by their chapter board will be reimbursed for hotel and travel (per the travel regulations noted above).
Attendance at breakout educational sessions will determine the attendee's deductible:
- $375 deductible - attend 4 or 5 of the 5 breakout sessions
- $500 deductible - attend 3 of 5 breakout sessions
- $0 reimbursement - attend 2 or fewer breakout sessions
*All attendees must sign in to breakout sessions to receive credit for attendance.
Chapters must have submitted all required items outlined in the Chapter Affiliation Agreement in order to receive reimbursement for retreat expenses. Please contact Beth Karcz with any questions regarding the required items. Please keep hotel and travel receipts to submit with the reimbursement request.
Incidental expenses are the responsibility of individual attendees.
In order to encourage all of your chapter officers to take advantage of this unique opportunity, two additional chapter officers are invited to attend the retreat at a complimentary registration fee, but with no reimbursement for hotel and travel expenses. The general membership is also invited to participate in the program for a $500 registration fee. If a Chapter has more than the number eligible for reimbursement, it is the responsibility of the Chapter President to designate the attendees to be reimbursed.
