Chapter Description

NAIOP IS LOCAL: The Northern Ohio Chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) provides commercial real estate professionals and communities with education and support through advocacy, communication, networking and business opportunities. The Chapter is composed of leaders dedicated to fostering an environment for regional growth.

COMMUNITY: Typically, our Northern Ohio members are also members of other local and national commercial real estate and community organizations. The cross pollination is rich and quite valuable. NAIOP provides members the unique opportunity network within a variety of industry disciplines.

TEAM BUILDERS: When a company or individual within our ranks seeks to build a team of professionals, he or she can find everyone needed among our membership. Our membership includes: Accountants, Architects and Interior Design Firms, Asset Managers, Attorneys, Brokers (representing both tenant and property owners), Contractors, Developers and Property Owners, Environmental Consultants, Financiers, Investment Advisors, Public Officials, Title Companies, Utility Companies, and various other professionals who serve the industry. NAIOP has an open membership policy. We seek to bring value to our members and provide each with education and networking opportunities, as well as provide opportunities to build a collaborative team for conducting sound business.

WHY JOIN? Members are often asked why one should join NAIOP in Northern Ohio, as opposed to just attending the various events held throughout the year. It is true that nearly all NAIOP events are open to the entire community. NAIOP of Northern Ohio, as most of the chapters throughout the country, provides educational and informative programs to the community as a public service to continue to help raise the bar for the industry. The real value in being a member of NAIOP is found at the committee level. Even existing members short change themselves of the richness of being a member of NAIOP if they do not get involved.

The main objective for 2007 is to put a greater emphasis on education for NAIOP members, and the Northern Ohio community. Our goal is to be a value added partner for all stakeholders, and become recognized as the premier and "go to" source for all aspects of commercial real estate in Northern Ohio.
